Iraqi Community Festival

Iraqi Festival Day

The Romero Centre are working with the Iraqi Community to establish an inaugural Iraqi Community Festival, achieving the following objectives:

  • To bring Iraqi people in Brisbane together as a community, to assist a stronger sense of community identity & community unity, and to reinforce a sense of belonging within the broader Australian community
  • To showcase & celebrate Iraqi cultural pride, cultural expression & traditions: theatre, art, music, cultural dance, singing, food; and to present Iraqi culture and traditions as a positive part of the broader Australian community
  • To acknowledge the Australian people and organisations who have supported Iraqi communities
